Violette and Esther, behind the screen

Behind valdisere.comViolette Staehle and Esther Vittot, web project managers, are behind the Tourist Office website. A title that encompasses many tasks.

In addition to managing and updating the website and mini-sites for events (Classicaval, Foire avaline...), they are also responsible for creating newsletters, managing the tourist screens installed in the village, monitoring e-reputation (online reputation), preparing photo shoots, the technical side of online ticketing... The web is at the crossroads of all the Tourist Office's activities! Violette and Esther's objective: to ensure that customers and users are as well-informed as possible. A major objective, given that valdisere.com is available in three languages and comprises over 10,000 pages!

At the heart of their profession is constant evolution! They have to keep up to date with new developments (such as artificial intelligence). The creative and collective side is also very present, since their missions require them to interact with the various departments of the Office and its external partners, in order to collect information and agree on its proper dissemination.

Esther comments enthusiastically: "I particularly enjoy this group work, even more so when the aim is to promote a destination as beautiful as Val d'Isère, with so much diversity between the different activities and seasons!

Violette adds: "It's also about making people dream. As workers, we don't come to Val d'Isère by chance: we come for the mountains, the skiing, the hiking... It's great fun to work on tourism awareness, as it allows us to pass on our passion!"

With more than 1.8 million users on the site, the gamble paid off!
