Parking and traffic

Year after year, it adapts to changes in the commune. In 2014, the blue zone was introduced in Val d'Isère. Parking is free of charge for a limited time, which varies according to the parking space, as long as the parking disc is placed behind the windscreen, indicating the time of arrival. The blue disc is on sale at the Town Hall reception desk.

Val d'Isère parking rules reminder

For everyone's well-being, it's important that everyone shows good citizenship and respects parking regulations. The municipality would like to remind you that :

  • It is forbidden to park your vehicle on bus stops, sidewalks, pedestrian squares or any other unauthorized areas.
  • If you park your vehicle in a blue zone, remember to place the disc behind the windscreen. Respect the time limit.

Since January 1, 2018, the rate of parking fines has been changed across all communes in France. The fine for offences in blue zones is €35.

Our recommendations:

  • do not exceed the time allowed by police regulations
  • use the blue disc in areas reserved for this purpose
  • use a regulation disc
  • place it where it can be seen (and read)

Electronic PV

Val d'Isère's municipal police force is equipped with electronic ticketing. However, to avoid the unpleasant surprise of receiving a penalty notice by post, Police Municipale officers will systematically leave an information notice on the vehicle.
