Public procurement
The use of public funds and the size of certain orders mean that public authorities have to comply with a number of principles and procedures, which must be applied to the letter.
As part of its investment policy, the municipality of Val d'Isère cannot make purchases under the same conditions as private players. It must therefore conclude a public procurement contract, a contract concluded for valuable consideration between contracting authorities (in this case, the local authority) and public or private parties.
The various orders placed by the commune of Val d'Isère are therefore governed by the French Public Procurement Code, which sets out the rules for competitive tendering for the purchase of supplies, services and works.
The company responding must scrupulously respect the terms and conditions indicated in the consultation regulations.
