Synopsis

In the mountains of the Briançonnais, men and women on the road to exile find the courage to cross the passes on foot, risking their lives. At the end of a long journey, exhausted, they don't know if they'll be able to settle down somewhere and start their lives again. It is this transitional period that "L'Aventure" recounts. Ossoul, the Sudanese poet, Mamadou, the survivor of an icy night on the Col de l'Echelle, Charlotte, the courageous mother and others gradually regain their footing and manage to embark on a new life. Filmed over three years, "L'Aventure" is a story of resilience, friendships and emotions revealed. Portraits emerge and deepen until each of them can recognize themselves in the other, put themselves in their place and understand them.
