Commemoration of the Col de la Galise tragedy

Visit Sunday, August 11 will be held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Galise Pass tragedy, which occurred at the height of the Second World War.

Follow in the footsteps of the British aviators who lost their lives as they crossed from Italy to France, and in those of the locals who braved the mountains to rescue them.
