What they say: Zoé and Roméo, students at Val d'Isère

What do you think of the school?

Zoé: School is so cool!

Romeo : We love our teacher, Baptiste, he's funny. He often makes jokes.

Zoé: But sometimes he's a bit serious too.

Romeo : Yes. Not too much...but sometimes much more than a little.

What's it like growing up in Val d'Isère?

Zoé: I haven't always grown up in Val d'Isère, but it's so great! I don't like skiing but I'm never bored here, there are so many other activities to do: cycling, swimming, playing in the snow, cross-country skiing... Once, with Baptiste, we even made heads in the snow.

Romeo : I love it too, it's the best place for skiing! I love skiing, but I also like other activities like cross-country skiing and snowboarding. In the off-season, though, it's all very sad: there are no people and it doesn't move...

If you could change one thing about Val d'Isère, what would it be?

Zoé: I'm not sure, but first, I'd say no more work.

Romeo : Oh yes, that would be nice!

Zoé: Secondly, I'd like it to be free of pollution and clutter. I'd like to see more deciduous trees too, because right now there's nothing but fir trees, everywhere, everywhere, everywhere!

Romeo : The first thing I'd change is to put the biggest mountain in the world in Val d'Isère! And the second thing would be to make the off-season less dreary.

What if you could change things at school or at Valoisirs?

Zoé: I'd like to do more art and geometry! In other classes, they do art all the time: painting, drawing, felt-tip pens... whereas we don't do much. It would be great to be able to do papier-mâché, origami, clay...

Romeo : More art, yes, but not geometry! We could do science instead, for example, when mixing products.

What's your favorite thing about Valoisirs?

Zoé: When you make creations!

Romeo : And when we make huts out of carpets!

And at school?

Zoé: I love maths and geometry.

Romeo : Recess, especially lunchtime recess, because we do so many activities! Want to see how to build a tree house?
