Vanoise refuges come out of hibernation

⛷️ The Vanoise refuges are coming out of hibernation to welcome backcountry skiers and snowshoers. It's an opportunity to experience the magic of an early morning start, the freedom and autonomy to discover the mountain and the pleasure of skiing in trackless snow... Spring is the best season for this activity, with its longer days and mild temperatures.

To make the most of the season, some refuges are open and staffed until late April or early May 2024. To prepare your outing, reservations must be made with the janitor. Don't forget that ski touring itineraries are aimed at well-equipped, experienced hikers. Mountain leaders and guides are available to help you; ask at the Tourist Office or Guide Bureau.

Spring 2024 opening dates for refuges owned by the Parc national de la Vanoise :
Fond des Fours refuge: March 8 to May 1
Refuge de Prariond: March 9 to May 1
Refuge de la Leisse: February 16 to April 21
Refuge de l'Arpont: February 24 to April 20
Refuge de la Femma: February 10 to May 1
Vallonbrun refuge: February 16 to March 11
Plan du Lac refuge: March 23 to April 28
Le Bois refuge: open every day except May
