Your Christmas tree has a date with its new life! 🎄
In January, drop off your natural, whole Christmas tree, without decoration or plastic bag, at the moloks. Our environment department collects it, La ferme de l'Adroit recycles it! ♻️
You can also drop off your Christmas trees at the Les Brévières waste depot Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (excluding public holidays).
What happens to my tree? ➡️
Along with other waste collected by the community, it will be stored on a composting platform at Le Laisinant. The following summer, all this material will be shredded and put into windrows for an initial natural temperature rise to 70°c. This process is repeated 3 times over 2 years to transform the material into compost.
It will eventually be spread on the ski area to turf areas where work has been carried out. This compost is used as an organic amendment to reconstitute soil and encourage new plant growth. 🌿
