Cleanliness and waste
Keeping the village clean, collecting waste is the business of the commune and the community of communes.
Cleanliness and waste sorting is our duty as citizens. But the task is not always easy. Here are a few reminders and tips to help you avoid getting lost.
The waste collection carried out by the communal staff of the household waste service every Monday - paid by the Haute Tarentaise community of communes - is sent daily to the Brévières waste collection centre. From there the household waste goes to the Chambéry incinerator and the recyclables deposited on the plant's transfer platform are loaded to be transported to the Gilly-sur-Isère sorting centre, before being dispatched to the various recycling channels.
Do you have any bulky items? Just drop them off on Sunday night for a collection the next day.
What do these logos printed on the packaging say?
They are now blooming on our packaging. To make sure you don't get lost in them, here's what you need to remember.
Triman
It means that the packaging is recyclable and must be disposed of in the yellow lidded bin.
PETE and HPDE
These pictograms identify the type of plastic used. These types of packaging are recyclable.
The ring of Moebius
It certifies that the container is "technically" recyclable. If it is accompanied by a percentage, it informs us of the rate of materials recycled to manufacture it.
EcoEmballage Green Dot
It states that the manufacturer pays a tax to improve waste sorting. WARNING, it does not mean that the packaging is recyclable!

Collection of infectious healthcare waste
Essential from a health point of view, the sorting of Waste from Care Activities with Infectious Risks - DASRI* - is well differentiated from that of recyclable packaging, so as not to endanger employees on the sorting lines who could be bitten by potentially hazardous waste. Collection is carried out, confidentially and free of charge, by the community of communes four times a year. This waste must first be stored in boxes to be collected from your pharmacist.
* needles, syringes, blades, razors, scalpels..., but not soft objects such as strips, cotton, soiled compresses, etc.
