The regulations governing commercial occupancy of the public domain are changing!

On April 29, 2024, the City Council voted the new regulations for commercial use of the public domain of Val d'Isère. This document sets out the administrative and technical rules for terraces, stalls, retail equipment and miscellaneous objects on the entire public road network located within the municipality of Val d'Isère.
This change follows the need to harmonize rates, which were last updated in 2004.
In the interests of simplification, only two tariffs will apply to all:
- Annual price per m² for occupation of the public domain including the winter season : 50€/m²
- Annual price per m² for occupation of the public domain off-season winter : 25€/m²
For example:
- If you use the public domain to operate your business in winter and summeryou will pay 50 €/m² ;
- If you use the public domain to operate your business summer and off-seasonyou will pay 25 €/m² ;
- If you use the public domain to operate your business in winter onlyyou will pay 50 €/m² ;
- If you use the public domain to operate your business in summer onlyyou will pay 25 €/m².
Any request for commercial installation on the public domain must therefore be submitted.
This request must be submitted before 1er july 2024 for operation during the summer season or before 1er December 2024 for the winter season.
